1. Purpose of this Policy

This Policy explains how Pugiyo collects, uses, stores, protects and discloses information on Sellers, representatives, authorized users and marketplace participation — promoting transparency and responsible handling under Nepal law, protected against unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

Sellers, owners, directors, authorized representatives, employees/account users, applicants, anyone communicating about seller services, and others whose information a Seller submits. It also covers customer information passed to sellers through the marketplace.

3. Information We May Collect

Identity: full and representative names, government ID and verification data, date of birth where legally necessary. Business: name, registration, PAN/VAT, type, address, store/brand, documents, authorizations. Contact: mobile, phone, email, business contacts. Financial: bank details, holder info, settlement/transaction/tax records (processors may be used). Products: names, descriptions, prices, stock, images, specs, warranty, documents. Platform: account, login, device, IP, browser, usage, portal activity, security logs. Communications: emails, support requests, messages, documents, and calls/call records where permitted and disclosed.

4. Customer Information Provided to Sellers

To fulfill orders, sellers may receive limited customer data (name, delivery and necessary contact details, order/product/return info). Treat it as confidential and use only for fulfillment, delivery, returns, refunds, warranty, support and legal duties. Never sell lists, build unrelated marketing databases, contact customers for unrelated commerce, redirect to external channels, request direct payments, or share with unauthorized persons.

5. Why We Collect Information

Onboarding and verification; marketplace operations and listings; order fulfillment, delivery and returns; payments and settlements with deductions; support and issue resolution; fraud, abuse and counterfeit prevention; security; analytics and improvement; permitted marketing of campaigns and opportunities; legal compliance and lawful requests.

6. Legal Basis and Consent

Processing follows applicable law, with consent requested where required. Registering acknowledges that some information is necessary to run the seller relationship; withholding mandatory data may block the service.

7. Purpose Limitation

Collect only what each purpose needs. Verification, operations, payment, support, security and compliance data is not reused for unrelated purposes except as permitted or required by law.

8. Public Seller Information

Limited data may display publicly for trust: store/business name, logo, general location, description, listings, verification badge, rating, performance, tenure. Never public: IDs, bank details, home address, private email/phone, passwords, verification documents. Business contact info may show where expressly provided for business purposes.

9. Seller Communication Privacy

Customer–seller tools may be processed for support, fraud prevention, security, integrity, disputes, enforcement and improvement — never intentionally for unrelated purposes.

10. Cookies and Technologies

Cookies, storage, pixels and logs may serve authentication, security, functionality, preferences, analytics, performance and fraud prevention, with controls where required.

11. How We Share Information

Sharing only where reasonably necessary: logistics (pickup/delivery/returns/tracking), payments/settlements, hosting/software/security/analytics/communications tech, verification, professional advisers under confidentiality, authorities under law/order, and business transfers under law. Third parties may not use seller data for unrelated purposes.

12. Seller Responsibility for Customer Data

Restrict access, use only for authorized purposes, avoid copying, prevent disclosure, secure devices/documents, delete/return when no longer needed (subject to law), and promptly report suspected breaches to Pugiyo.

13. Data Security

Reasonable technical, administrative and organizational safeguards (access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, monitoring, logging, backups, reviews, staff controls) against unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, misuse, alteration and destruction. No internet system is perfectly secure.

14. Data Breaches and Security Incidents

Pugiyo investigates, contains and remediates incidents, notifying affected persons/authorities where the law requires. Sellers must promptly report suspected unauthorized access to customer data received via Pugiyo.

15. Data Retention

Retained as reasonably needed for relationship, transactions, accounting, tax, law, fraud prevention, disputes, security, enforcement and records — then deleted, anonymized or securely disposed of, subject to legal retention.

16. Seller Rights and Requests

Contact Pugiyo about held data, corrections, processing questions, privacy concerns, consent and lawful requests. Identity verification may be required; requests may be refused/limited as the law allows.

17. Correction of Information

Keep account data accurate; request corrections via Portal, Support or Privacy contact. Evidence may be required for verification/legal data.

18. Deletion and Account Closure

Closure is subject to outstanding orders, returns, refunds, settlement, law, fraud/dispute checks and retention. Closure does not mean instant deletion of everything.

19. Marketing Communications

Operational messages (orders, alerts, policy, account, security, settlement) may continue as needed. Permitted promos, campaigns, education and news may include unsubscribe where applicable.

20. Children's Information

The Seller Portal is for businesses and eligible contracting persons. Do not knowingly submit children's data except where lawful and properly handled.

21. Seller Document Security

Registration, PAN/VAT, ID, bank and brand documents may be used for verification, compliance, operations and disclosed legitimate purposes. Do not upload unnecessary documents or data.

22. Third-Party Links and Services

Third-party services have their own privacy policies; Pugiyo is not responsible for independent third parties outside its control.

23. International Service Providers

Some providers may operate outside Nepal; Pugiyo seeks appropriate contractual, technical and organizational measures consistent with law.

24. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Updates may reflect legal, platform, service, security, operational or practice changes, showing a revised Last Updated date and communicated via Portal or email where appropriate.

26. Governing Law

Interpreted under the laws of Nepal, subject to mandatory rights and protections.

27. Seller Acknowledgement

By registering, the Seller acknowledges it has reviewed this Policy and understands Pugiyo's collection, use, protection and disclosure for legitimate marketplace purposes; separately-required consents are requested through proper mechanisms.
